Marching to the Beat of my Own Drum

Year after year I have been searching...

Searching for the answers to those age-old questions:

I have been told I see the world through rose-colored glasses.

I have been told that my "crazy" or "interesting" ideas would never work in a corporate setting.

I have been told that I would never get promoted because I was too nice.

I have been told that there was no way to have a balance between my work , my interests and the people I love, so "pick one".

I have been told that the amazing teams I have built or strengthened could not be repeated under different circumstances.

I have been told that my personal situations should not affect my work.

I have been told that "now" was not a good time to take a risk.

I have been told that I needed to stop worrying so much about the people-"this is business".

Each and every time, I have bucked those opinions when I have felt that strong, unyielding pull toward an idea or a solution I believed in.

For 20 years in Corporate America, I ran teams and projects within human resources, consulting, management training, recruiting, client training and marketing through building relationships and encouraging innovation. Hundreds of young professionals were mentored and developed under my leadership of high-potential management training and internship programs. I'm happy to call the largest corporations in the world my clients, helping them to restructure their recruitment practices and strengthen their employment brand in the marketplace. I have achieved incredible success and earned the confidence of senior management, business partners and teammates.


And the answer to who I am and what I should do with my life had been right in front of me all along- I was already doing it and have been for more than 20 years!

I have used personal hardship and challenges to strengthen who I am and help others to understand that there are many lenses by which to see the world and reach their highest potential.

When I could put words to my gifts-when I could articulate where I have made an impact and difference in the world, I knew that I could not think small any more. I needed to be living in my purpose every day. Not inserting it into as many scenarios as I could in my day-to-day life- but living it in everything I do. Passionately speaking my truth and helping others gain clarity to discover their new beginning!

You see, what I've discovered is that I already possess a simple, results-based process to recreate and reinvent my own new beginning without compromising who I truly am or what I stand for. I have been using that process with myself, my interns, my management trainees and my team members for years.
